Abandoned in the Arctic, Adolphus W. Greely and the Lady Franklin Bay Expedition, 1881-1884
The 88 page book, with almost 100 reproductions of historic photos and illustrations, recounts the 1881 Lady Franklin Bay expedition as well as Dr. Clark’s 2004, six week journey to the Arctic to re-trace and re-examine Greely's fabled retreat. The Clark expedition, which included scientists, field-guides and Greely's great, great grandson, James Shedd, was also the genesis for the ninety-minute documentary film, Abandoned in the Arctic.

Redemptive Storyteller Award 2007
On November 3, 2007, Dr. Geoffrey Clark accepted a Redemptive Storyteller Award--professional category--for Abandoned in the Arctic at the Redemptive Film festival Grand Awards Ceremony, held at the Regent University School of Communication and the Arts in Virginia Beach, VA. The award celebrates family friendly films with a redemptive spirit.

Screenings 2009

Peabody Essex Museum: "Abandoned in the Arctic", will be screened on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 1:00 pm. UPDATE...."Abandoned" played to a full house!
