Abandoned in the Arctic, Adolphus W. Greely and the Lady Franklin Bay Expedition, 1881-1884
The 88 page book, with almost 100 reproductions of historic photos and illustrations, recounts the 1881 Lady Franklin Bay expedition as well as Dr. Clark’s 2004, six week journey to the Arctic to re-trace and re-examine Greely's fabled retreat.The Clark expedition, which included scientists, field-guides and Greely’s great, great grandson, James Shedd,was also the genesis for the ninety-minute documentary film, Abandoned in the Arctic.

Historical Society of Old Newbury
The Historical Society of Old Newbury presented the documentary film, Abandoned in the Arctic, the heroic story of Newburyport's own son, Adolphus W. Greely, and the Lady Franklin Bay Expedition of 1881-1884, followed by a wine and cheese reception and book signing with executive producer and author, Geoffrey E. Clark, M.D. at the Fire House Center for the Arts in Newburyport on October 24th, 2007.

Redemptive Storyteller Award 2007
On November 3, 2007 Dr. Geoffrey Clark accepted a Redemptive Storyteller Award -professional catagory -for Abandoned in the Arctic at the Redemptive Film festival Grand Awards Ceremony, held at the Regent University School of Communication and the Arts in Virginia Beach, VA. The award celebrates family friendly films with a redemptive spirit.
